Radisson Blu Manchester Airport – Hotel & Restaurant Branding
Radisson Blu Manchester Airport commissioned Fitzpatrick Design to create a new identity for ‘little m’, a casual bar and restaurant concept within the hotel, and also its ‘Collage’ restaurant.
The project combined hospitality brand development, restaurant branding and graphic design, creating a distinctive identity that worked alongside the hotel’s new interior design scheme. We extended the visual identity across food and drinks menus, signage, point-of-sale materials and a range of drinks illustrations.
Following the project, Radisson Blu Manchester Airport’s bar and restaurant operations saw a 17% year-on-year increase in food and beverage sales.

THE BRIEF
Radisson Blu Manchester Airport wanted to introduce a fresh identity for little m, its casual bar and restaurant concept.
The new brand needed to work naturally within the hotel environment while giving the restaurant its own distinctive personality. Our brief was to develop a flexible visual identity and apply it consistently across the customer journey, from menus and signage to point-of-sale materials and drinks communications.
CREATIVE APPROACH
The creative approach was deliberately simple and flexible, allowing the little m identity to complement the new interior design scheme while creating a recognisable restaurant brand.
We developed the visual language across typography, graphic elements, layout and illustration, considering how the identity would work across different hospitality touchpoints. Food and drinks menus, signage and point-of-sale materials were designed as part of the same visual system, creating consistency throughout the restaurant experience.
We also developed a range of drinks illustration styles to add personality and visual interest to the brand communications.
THE RESULT
The new little m identity created a distinctive and flexible visual presence for Radisson Blu Manchester Airport’s bar and restaurant, extending consistently across menus, signage, point-of-sale materials and drinks communications.
Most importantly, the project delivered a measurable commercial result. Following the work, the hotel’s bar and restaurant operations saw a 17% year-on-year increase in food and beverage sales.
The project demonstrates how effective hospitality branding and customer-facing design can contribute to a stronger overall restaurant experience and support commercial performance.
“We worked with this dynamic design team on a new identity for our ‘little m’ restaurant at Radisson Blu Manchester Airport. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. The results were visually stunning and brilliantly executed. I highly recommend them.”
